Michael Adair, the Managing Director of the Firm is a highly experienced tax and accounting advisor who has established long-term relationships with his clients based on sound technical advice and extraordinary personal service. His forty-one year business career has included success as an executive with a financial institution and as a practicing certified public accountant. In 1984, Michael founded the accounting practice that ultimately became Adair, Fuller, Witcher & Malcom, P.A.

Michael’s business career began in 1973 when he joined the international professional services firm of Ernst & Young. After gaining a solid foundation in accounting and auditing, he elected to become a tax specialist and progressed to the position of Senior Tax Manager before becoming Vice President and Tax Manager with First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Broward County in 1981.

While with First Federal, Michael was responsible for tax compliance and planning matters for this $2 billion association and its numerous service corporations and real estate joint ventures. When the institution was acquired in 1982, Michael joined the Fort Lauderdale office of Deloitte & Touche, another “Big Four” accounting firm. During his tenure there, Michael served as a tax and accounting consultant in the firm’s financial institutions group. He also managed the Fort Lauderdale office’s tax department and was responsible for services to the department’s individual and business clients.

Michael is recognized as an extremely competent advisor to real estate developers, not-for-profit organizations, legal and medical practices, manufacturing companies and retail operations; and is as successful dealing with the owners and managers of these entities as with the entities themselves. His broad business background combined with a calm and logical approach to problem solving and commitment to outstanding client service produces superb levels of client satisfaction and loyalty.

Michael received his BA degree with a major in accounting and finance from Florida Atlantic University in 1973. He has been an adjunct professor of accounting and an active seminar leader for continuing professional education programs. He is a licensed CPA in Florida and is a member of the Florida Institute of CPAs.

Sharon L. Balgobin, CPA

Sharon Balgobin has over nineteen years’ experience in public accounting. Sharon is highly respected for her financial accounting expertise, analytical abilities and the personal services she provides to her clients. Her approach to accounting and tax service involves in-depth understanding of her clients businesses, their accounting and control systems, and the industries in which they operate, allowing her to maximize the benefits she provides the clients.

Sharon began her career in public accounting with Adair, Fuller, Witcher & Malcom, P.A. in 1996. During her career with Adair, Fuller, Witcher & Malcom, P.A. she has provided accounting, auditing, and taxation services to a diverse clientele. Her diverse clientele include manufacturing, wholesale distribution, construction, and various not-for-profit entities.

Sharon is a wife and a mother of two children. She is committed to providing the personal services to her clients while balancing family life.

Sharon received her degree in accounting and Master in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. She is a licensed CPA in Florida and is a member of the Florida Institute of CPAs.
